While in Santa Fe, Allen met Tal Streeter, large-scale steel sculptor, best known for his ‘Endless Column’ now in the permanent collection at Storm King Art Center. Tal also authored, ‘The Art of Japanese Kites.’ This book was a powerful inspiration to many artists and kite makers around the world. Both Tal’s sculptures and his interest in kites mirrored a fascination that Allen shared with the sky and dream of flight. This sculpture was named in tribute to Tal Streeter and his great talent.
